Outfit Inspiration: Holiday Separates

There are so many opportunities to get dressed up during the Holiday season, and purchasing a new outfit for each occasion is not wallet-friendly!  It is much easier to find a few separates that can be mixed and matched into multiple outfits, and I find that this method gives new life to older pieces in my closet.  Today I want to share with you an outfit I wore last weekend to the annual Seattle Symphony "Holiday Pops" performance with my family.  My striped skirt is an old favorite piece that happens to still be available (I highly recommend--check out my link here and also below).  To make the outfit fresh and new, I added two recent purchases: a crop sweater and a fur vest.  It was pouring rain outside, so instead of heels I opted for these glitter rainboots to finish the look.  Scroll down for more separates that can be mixed and matched to create your new favorite holiday looks (and arrive in time for Christmas).

Check out my picks below for tops and skirts that can be combined to make fabulous party outfits this holiday season.  These pieces are all currently available on Shopbop.com, and you can also get free 2-day shipping if you have an Amazon Prime membership (Shopbop is owned by Amazon).  Speedy shipping means you can get new pieces in time for your Christmas parties!  I created this image using Polyvore, a great site for making your own outfit inspirations.
