Travel Style: DoubleHood Sweatshirt + Petty Booties

Last weekend, my boyfriend and I flew to Boston for a friend's wedding where he was a groomsman.  Since we had the rehearsal dinner Friday and wedding festivities all day Saturday, we decided to give ourselves some extra time by taking a Thursday red-eye flight from Seattle to Boston.  We landed at 6:30am Friday morning, grabbed our rental car, and drove straight out to Cape Cod.  Neither my boyfriend nor I had been to the Cape on our previous trips to Boston, and there was no traffic on an off-season Friday morning, so we decided this was a perfect opportunity.  We had breakfast at The Pickle Jar Kitchen in Falmouth (they make great breakfast hashes!), stopped by the historic Nobska Lighthouse, and then headed over to the Knob.  Friday was chilly and drizzling off and on, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves.  Despite its stark and wintery appearance, the Knob and surrounding area were beautiful and all you could hear was the ocean and the wind.  I can imagine how lovely it must be in the summer!  Since we hit the ground running right off the plane, my outfit for the flight and exploring the Cape consisted of a few go-to travel pieces: a cozy hoodie, leggings, walkable booties, and a vest for an extra layer of warmth.  We only had a few hours to spend this time, but we definitely want to return to Cape Cod in the summer to try out a Kennedy style beach house vacation and explore more of the area.
